Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Lumea ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Lumea is a low-frequency companion app where you meet your Lumean, visit their little world, write letters, receive proactive letters and occasional replies, and keep a season of exchange as a storybook. The App is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at any time.

You may use the App as a guest or sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining account security. Guest credentials are stored in your device Keychain; if you lose the device without binding Apple ID, your account content may not be recoverable. You can initiate account deletion inside the App. Account deletion permanently deletes your account and associated content. Restoring purchases can restore Keeper Pass entitlement, but it cannot restore deleted letters, storybooks, or relationship data.

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; (b) use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' accounts; (d) exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage.

Your letters, letters from your Lumean, storybooks, and exported files are for your personal use. Keeper Pass is a one-time purchase for archive, PDF export, and additional paper templates; it does not increase letter frequency, reply probability, or relationship depth.

Keeper Pass is offered through the Apple App Store as a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase. You can restore or rebind the entitlement with the same Apple ID. Payments, taxes, refunds, and billing issues are handled by Apple; deleting your account, uninstalling the App, or stopping use of Lumea does not automatically issue a refund.

Letters you submit may contain private expression. Lumea uses this content to generate replies, proactive letters, storybooks, notifications, and exports; to provide these features, some content may be processed by third-party AI service providers. Generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for every situation. Do not submit content you do not have rights to use, or unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or exploitative content.

Lumea is a companion and journaling experience. It is not a medical, therapy, crisis intervention, health advice, or professional counseling service. HealthKit step count is used only to turn everyday activity into light in your Lumean's world, not for diagnosis or treatment advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of account content, generated content, exported files, or entitlement state.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
